Duas for Myself
in the Rawdah

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي كُلَّهُ

12 powerful personal duas — Sayyidul Istighfar, firm heart, wellbeing, rizq, relief from anxiety and Husnul Khatimah.

Making Dua for Yourself in the Rawdah

You have travelled far. You have prepared. You have waited for this moment. Now you are standing in the Rawdah — a garden from the gardens of Paradise — and you are face to face with your own soul. This is not the time for distraction. This is the time to be completely honest with Allah about who you are, what you carry, and what you need.
Before you make dua for anyone else, make dua for yourself. The Prophet ﷺ always began dua with himself. Ask for your own forgiveness first — then carry everyone you love. The Rawdah is one of the most powerful places on earth. Do not waste a single moment of it on doubt. Raise your hands. Close your eyes. Speak.

Allah will not send you away empty-handed from the Rawdah. Ask for everything. Forgiveness, health, guidance, rizq, a good end — ask for it all. And then ask again.

Enter the Rawdah and pray 2 rakah nafl before making dua

Face the qiblah, raise both hands, begin with Salawat on the Prophet ﷺ

Start with Sayyidul Istighfar (dua 1) — it covers all your sins in one dua

Work through the card — forgiveness, guidance, health, rizq, Jannah

End with your personal duas in your own language — speak from your heart

Finish with Salawat again and say Ameen

Frequently Asked Questions

Sayyidul Istighfar — dua 1 in this card — is described by the Prophet ﷺ as the master dua of forgiveness. He said whoever recites it during the day with full conviction and dies before evening enters Jannah, and whoever recites it at night with conviction and dies before morning enters Jannah (Sahih Bukhari 6306). It is the single most powerful dua of forgiveness in the Sunnah. Reciting it in the Rawdah makes it even more significant.

Husnul Khatimah means a good ending — dying upon faith with the kalimah on your lips. Dua 12 asks Allah to seal your life with iman and make your final words lā ilāha illa Llāh. Scholars emphasise this as one of the most important duas a believer can make. The Rawdah, being one of the holiest places on earth, is the ideal place to ask for this with complete sincerity.

Begin with yourself. The Prophet ﷺ always started his duas with himself before others. This is not selfishness — it is Sunnah. After completing your personal duas, then move on to your family and loved ones. The dua card for deceased parents, mother, father and others on this site can be used after you complete this personal card..
