Making Dua for Yourself in the Rawdah
You have travelled far. You have prepared. You have waited for this moment. Now you are standing in the Rawdah — a garden from the gardens of Paradise — and you are face to face with your own soul. This is not the time for distraction. This is the time to be completely honest with Allah about who you are, what you carry, and what you need.
Before you make dua for anyone else, make dua for yourself. The Prophet ﷺ always began dua with himself. Ask for your own forgiveness first — then carry everyone you love. The Rawdah is one of the most powerful places on earth. Do not waste a single moment of it on doubt. Raise your hands. Close your eyes. Speak.
“Your Lord is shy and generous. He is shy to let His servant raise his hands to Him and return them empty.”
— Abu Dawud 1488 · Tirmidhi 3556
Allah will not send you away empty-handed from the Rawdah. Ask for everything. Forgiveness, health, guidance, rizq, a good end — ask for it all. And then ask again.

رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا وَارْزُقْنِي فَهْمًا
SAYYIDUL ISTIGHFAR — MASTER DUA OF FORGIVENESS
اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي
Allāhumma anta Rabbī lā ilāha illā anta khalaqtanī wa anā ʿabduka wa anā ʿalā ʿahdika wa waʿdika mā staṭaʿtu aʿūdhu bika min sharri mā ṣanaʿtu abūʾu laka bi-niʿmatika ʿalayya wa abūʾu bi-dhanbī faghfir lī
“O Allah, You are my Lord. There is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant. I acknowledge Your favour upon me and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me.”
اے اللہ، تو میرا رب ہے، تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں۔ تو نے مجھے پیدا کیا، میں تیرا بندہ ہوں۔ تیری نعمتوں کا اقرار کرتا ہوں، اپنے گناہ کا اقرار کرتا ہوں، پس مجھے بخش دے۔
Sahih Bukhari 6306 — Whoever recites this with conviction dies as a person of Jannah
COMPLETE FORGIVENESS OF ALL SINS
اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي كُلَّهُ دِقَّهُ وَجِلَّهُ وَأَوَّلَهُ وَآخِرَهُ وَعَلَانِيَتَهُ وَسِرَّهُ
Allāhumma ghfir lī dhanbī kullahu diqqahu wa jillahu wa awwalahu wa ākhirahu wa ʿalāniyatahu wa sirrahu
“O Allah, forgive me all my sins — the small and great, the first and last, the open and the secret.”
اے اللہ، میرے تمام گناہ بخش دے — چھوٹے اور بڑے، پہلے اور آخری، ظاہر اور پوشیدہ۔

KEEP MY HEART FIRM ON DEEN
يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ
Yā muqallibal qulūbi thabbit qalbī ʿalā dīnik
“O Turner of hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your religion.”
اے دلوں کے پھیرنے والے، میرے دل کو اپنے دین پر ثابت رکھ۔
Tirmidhi 2140 — The Prophet ﷺ recited this frequently
GRANT ME KNOWLEDGE & WISDOM
رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا وَارْزُقْنِي فَهْمًا وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
Rabbi zidnī ʿilman warzuqnī fahman wajʿalnī mina ṣ-ṣāliḥīn
“My Lord, increase me in knowledge, grant me understanding and make me among the righteous.”
اے میرے رب، میرے علم میں اضافہ فرما، مجھے سمجھ عطا کر اور مجھے نیک لوگوں میں سے بنا دے۔
Quran 20:114
COMPREHENSIVE WELLBEING DUA
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ
Allāhumma innī asʾaluka l-ʿāfiyata fi d-dunyā wa l-ākhirah
“O Allah, I ask You for wellbeing in this world and the hereafter.”
اے اللہ، میں تجھ سے دنیا اور آخرت میں عافیت مانگتا ہوں۔
Ibn Majah 3871 — The Prophet ﷺ said no better dua exists than asking for ʿāfiyah
PROTECTION FROM ANXIETY, DEBT & COWARDICE
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ
Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika mina l-hammi wa l-ḥazani wa l-ʿajzi wa l-kasali wa l-bukhli wa l-jubni wa ḍalaʿi d-dayni wa ghalabati r-rijāl
“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety, grief, incapacity, laziness, miserliness, cowardice, the burden of debt and being overpowered by others.”
اے اللہ، میں تجھ سے پناہ مانگتا ہوں فکر، غم، عاجزی، سستی، بخل، بزدلی، قرض کے بوجھ اور لوگوں کے غلبے سے۔

BEST DUA FOR BOTH WORLDS
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Rabbanā ātinā fi d-dunyā ḥasanah wa fi l-ākhirati ḥasanah wa qinā ʿadhāba n-nār
“Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the hereafter and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.”
اے ہمارے رب، ہمیں دنیا میں بھلائی دے، آخرت میں بھی بھلائی دے اور ہمیں آگ کے عذاب سے بچا۔
Quran 2:201 — Most recited dua of the Prophet ﷺ
HALAL RIZQ & INDEPENDENCE
اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ
Allāhumma kfinī bi-ḥalālika ʿan ḥarāmika wa aghnīnī bi-faḍlika ʿamman siwāk
“O Allah, suffice me with what is halal so I need nothing haram, and enrich me with Your grace so I need no one besides You.”
اے اللہ، مجھے حلال سے کافی کر دے کہ حرام کی ضرورت نہ رہے، اور اپنے فضل سے بے نیاز کر دے۔
Tirmidhi 3563
GRANT ME A PURE SOUL
اللَّهُمَّ آتِ نَفْسِي تَقْوَاهَا وَزَكِّهَا أَنْتَ خَيْرُ مَنْ زَكَّاهَا أَنْتَ وَلِيُّهَا وَمَوْلَاهَا
Allāhumma āti nafsī taqwāhā wa zakkihā anta khayru man zakkāhā anta waliyyuhā wa mawlāhā
“O Allah, grant my soul its piety and purify it. You are the best to purify it. You are its Guardian and Master.”
اے اللہ، میری روح کو تقویٰ عطا فرما اور اسے پاک کر دے، تو ہی سب سے بہتر اسے پاک کرنے والا ہے۔
Sahih Muslim 2722
ASK DIRECTLY FOR JANNAH
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْجَنَّةَ وَمَا قَرَّبَ إِلَيْهَا مِنْ قَوْلٍ أَوْ عَمَلٍ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ وَمَا قَرَّبَ إِلَيْهَا مِنْ قَوْلٍ أَوْ عَمَلٍ
Allāhumma innī asʾaluka l-jannata wa mā qarraba ilayhā min qawlin aw ʿamalin wa aʿūdhu bika mina n-nāri wa mā qarraba ilayhā min qawlin aw ʿamal
“O Allah, I ask You for Jannah and for whatever brings me closer to it, and I seek refuge from the Fire and whatever brings me closer to it.”
اے اللہ، میں تجھ سے جنت مانگتا ہوں اور جو چیز اس کے قریب کرے، اور جہنم سے پناہ مانگتا ہوں اور جو اس کے قریب کرے۔
Ibn Majah 3846
ASK FOR INTERCESSION ON JUDGMENT DAY
اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ نَبِيَّكَ شَفِيعًا لِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَارْزُقْنِي حُبَّهُ وَاتِّبَاعَهُ
Allāhumma jʿal nabiyyaka shafīʿan lī yawma l-qiyāmati warzuqnī ḥubbahu wa ttibāʿah
“O Allah, make Your Prophet an intercessor for me on the Day of Resurrection and grant me love for him and the ability to follow him.”
اے اللہ، اپنے نبی ﷺ کو قیامت کے دن میرا شفاعت کرنے والا بنا اور مجھے ان کی محبت اور پیروی نصیب فرما۔

HUSNUL KHATIMAH — A GOOD END
اللَّهُمَّ اخْتِمْ لِي بِالْإِيمَانِ وَاجْعَلْ آخِرَ كَلَامِي مِنَ الدُّنْيَا لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ
Allāhumma khtim lī bil-īmāni wajʿal ākhira kalāmī mina d-dunyā lā ilāha illa Llāh
“O Allah, seal my life with faith and make my last words in this world be: There is no god but Allah.”
اے اللہ، میری زندگی ایمان پر ختم فرما اور میرے آخری الفاظ لا الہ الا اللہ بنا دے۔
