Why Make Dua for Your Mother in the Rawdah?
The Rawdah — that blessed patch of green carpet between the Prophet’s ﷺ house and his pulpit — is described as a garden from the gardens of Paradise. Every step you take there, every tear you shed, every word you whisper carries a weight unlike anywhere else on earth.
If there is one person who deserves your dua in this sacred space, it is your mother. She carried you before you could breathe. She stayed awake when you were sick. She made dua for you before you even knew what dua was. Now you stand in the Rawdah — one of the holiest spots in all of creation — and you have the chance to carry her, recite Dua for your mother.
“A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked: Who is most deserving of my good company? He said: Your mother. Then who? Your mother. Then who? Your mother. Then who? Your father.”

The Prophet ﷺ said “your mother” three times before anyone else. Standing in the Rawdah, with Paradise beneath your feet and the most beloved of creation ﷺ beside you — raise your hands and say her name. Allah is listening.

QURANIC DUA — FOR BOTH PARENTS
رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا
ARabbi rḥamhumā kamā rabbayānī ṣaghīrā
“My Lord, have mercy on them both as they raised me when I was small.”
اے میرے رب، ان دونوں پر رحم فرما جیسا انہوں نے مجھے بچپن میں پالا۔

FORGIVENESS, MERCY & WELLBEING
اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِأُمِّي وَارْحَمْهَا وَعَافِهَا وَاعْفُ عَنْهَا
Allāhumma ghfir li-ummī warḥamhā wa ʿāfihā waʿfu ʿanhā
“O Allah, forgive my mother, have mercy on her, grant her wellbeing and pardon her.”
اے اللہ، میری والدہ کو بخش دے، ان پر رحم فرما، انہیں عافیت دے اور معاف فرما۔

رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ

“My Lord, forgive me, my parents and all believers on the Day of Reckoning.”

اللَّهُمَّ اشْفِ أُمِّي وَعَافِهَا وَاعْفُ عَنْهَا

“O Allah, lengthen my mother’s life in Your obedience, wellbeing and Your pleasure.”

اللَّهُمَّ يَسِّرْ أَمْرَ أُمِّي وَاجْعَلْ آخِرَ عُمْرِهَا خَيْرًا مِنْ أَوَّلِهِ
Allāhumma yassir amra ummī wajʿal ākhira ʿumrihā khayran min awwalih
“O Allah, make my mother’s affairs easy and make the end of her life better than its beginning.”
اے اللہ، میری والدہ کے معاملات آسان فرما اور ان کی زندگی کا آخری حصہ پہلے سے بہتر بنا دے۔

اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِ أُمِّي وَثَبِّتْهَا عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ حَتَّى تَلْقَاكَ
Allāhumma hdi ummī wa thabbitahā ʿala l-islāmi ḥattā talqāk
“O Allah, guide my mother and keep her firm upon Islam until she meets You.”
اے اللہ، میری والدہ کو ہدایت دے اور انہیں اسلام پر ثابت قدم رکھ یہاں تک کہ وہ تجھ سے ملیں۔

اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْ أُمِّي مِنْ كُلِّ سُوءٍ وَمَكْرُوهٍ وَكُنْ لَهَا فِي كُلِّ أَمْرٍ

Allāhumma aṣliḥ dīna ummī wa ḥassin khuluqahā wajʿalhā mina ṣ-ṣāliḥīn
“O Allah, reform my mother’s deen, beautify her character and make her among the righteous.”
اے اللہ، میری والدہ کے دین کی اصلاح فرما، ان کے اخلاق سنوار دے اور انہیں نیک لوگوں میں سے بنا دے۔

“O Allah, grant my mother happiness in this world and the next and protect her from the Fire.”
اے اللہ، میری والدہ کو دنیا اور آخرت کی خوشی عطا فرما اور انہیں آگ کے عذاب سے بچا۔

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ أُمِّي مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ وَاحْشُرْنَا مَعَهَا فِي جَنَّةِ الْفِرْدَوْسِ الْأَعْلَى
Allāhumma jʿal ummī min ahli l-jannati waḥshurnā maʿahā fī jannati l-firdawsi l-aʿlā
“O Allah, make my mother among the people of Jannah and gather us with her in the highest Firdaus.”
اے اللہ، میری والدہ کو جنت والوں میں سے بنا اور ہم سب کو جنت الفردوس الاعلیٰ میں ان کے ساتھ جمع فرما دے۔
