The Rawdah — The Most Powerful Place to Ask for a Righteous Spouse
Marriage is half of deen. The Prophet ﷺ said whoever marries has completed half of his religion. Finding a righteous spouse is not just a worldly desire — it is a matter of your deen, your happiness and your hereafter. And the best One to ask is Allah — the One who created both of you, who knows everything about both of you, and who can bring two people together across any distance.
The Prophets of Allah made dua for good spouses and offspring. Musa made dua when he was completely alone with nothing, and Allah provided for him immediately. Zakariyya made dua for a child when his wife was barren and he was old, and Allah gave him Yahya . The Rawdah is where you make impossible requests — because nothing is impossible for Allah.
“When a man marries, he has completed half of his religion. So let him fear Allah regarding the remaining half.”

Stand in the Rawdah, raise your hands, and ask Allah specifically — for a spouse who is righteous, kind, who will be a partner in your deen, and who will be the coolness of your eyes. Be specific. Allah loves specificity in dua.

Duas for Finding a Righteous Spouse

رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنْزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ
DUA OF MUSA — WHEN HE HAD NOTHING
رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنْزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ
Rabbi innī limā anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqīr
“My Lord, indeed I am in need of whatever good You send down to me.”
اے میرے رب، بے شک تو جو بھی بھلائی مجھ پر نازل فرمائے میں اس کا محتاج ہوں۔
Quran 28:24 — Musa recited this when alone with nothing. Allah gave him a home, a wife and a livelihood immediately after.
DUA OF ZAKARIYYA — FOR RIGHTEOUS OFFSPRING
رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ
Rabbi hab lī min ladunka dhurriyyatan ṭayyibatan innaka samīʿu d-duʿāʾ
“My Lord, grant me from Yourself pure offspring. Indeed You are the Hearer of supplication.”
اے میرے رب، مجھے اپنے پاس سے پاکیزہ اولاد عطا فرما، بے شک تو دعا سننے والا ہے۔
Quran 3:38 — Zakariyya made this dua when his wife was barren — Allah gave him Yahya
DUA OF IBRAHIM — FOR A RIGHTEOUS FAMILY
رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا
Rabbanā hab lanā min azwājinā wa dhurriyyātinā qurrata aʿyunin wajʿalnā lil-muttaqīna imāmā
“Our Lord, grant us from our spouses and children comfort to our eyes and make us leaders of the righteous.”
اے ہمارے رب، ہمیں ہماری ازواج اور اولاد سے آنکھوں کی ٹھنڈک عطا فرما اور ہمیں متقیوں کا امام بنا دے۔
Quran 25:74 — Dua of the servants of the Most Merciful
ASK DIRECTLY FOR A RIGHTEOUS SPOUSE
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ زَوْجًا صَالِحًا يُعِينُنِي عَلَى دِينِي وَدُنْيَايَ
Allāhumma innī asʾaluka zawjan ṣāliḥan yuʿīnunī ʿalā dīnī wa dunyāya
“O Allah, I ask You for a righteous spouse who helps me in my deen and my worldly life.”
اے اللہ، میں تجھ سے ایسا نیک شریک حیات مانگتا ہوں جو میرے دین اور دنیا میں میری مدد کرے۔

FOR ALLAH TO CHOOSE THE BEST FOR YOU
اللَّهُمَّ اخْتَرْ لِي وَلَا تَكِلِ الِاخْتِيَارَ إِلَيَّ فَأَعْجَزُ وَاخْتَرْ لِي مِنْ خَلْقِكَ
Allāhumma khtār lī wa lā takili l-ikhtiyāra ilayya fa-aʿjazu wakhtār lī min khalqik
“O Allah, choose for me and do not leave the choice to me — for I am incapable. Choose for me from Your creation.”
اے اللہ، میرے لیے چن لے اور انتخاب مجھ پر نہ چھوڑ کیونکہ میں عاجز ہوں، اپنی مخلوق میں سے میرے لیے چن لے۔

FOR EASE IN FINDING A SPOUSE
اللَّهُمَّ يَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرَ الزَّوَاجِ وَاجْعَلْهُ سَبَبًا لِرِضَاكَ وَمَعُونَةً عَلَى طَاعَتِكَ
Allāhumma yassir lī amra z-zawāji wajʿalhu sababan li-riḍāka wa maʿūnatan ʿalā ṭāʿatik
“O Allah, make marriage easy for me and make it a means of Your pleasure and a help in obeying You.”
اے اللہ، میرے لیے نکاح آسان فرما اور اسے اپنی رضا کا سبب اور اپنی اطاعت میں مددگار بنا دے۔

DUA OF YUNUS — FOR BREAKTHROUGH
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ

رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ
Rabbanā afrigh ʿalaynā ṣabran wa thabbit aqdāmanā wanṣurnā ʿala l-qawmi l-kāfirīn
“Our Lord, pour patience over us, keep our feet firm and give us victory over the disbelieving people.”
اے ہمارے رب، ہم پر صبر کا سیلاب بھیج دے، ہمارے قدم جما دے اور کافروں کے مقابلے میں ہماری مدد فرما۔
Quran 2:250 — Replace “victory over disbelievers” with your personal struggle — the form of patience remains
FOR CONTENTMENT WITH ALLAH’S TIMING
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الرِّضَا بَعْدَ الْقَضَاءِ وَبَرْدَ الْعَيْشِ بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ
Allāhumma innī asʾaluka r-riḍā baʿda l-qaḍāʾi wa barda l-ʿayshi baʿda l-mawt
“O Allah, I ask You for contentment after Your decree and a cool and pleasant life after death.”
اے اللہ، میں تجھ سے تیرے فیصلے کے بعد رضامندی مانگتا ہوں اور موت کے بعد پرسکون زندگی مانگتا ہوں۔

اللَّهُمَّ خِرْ لِي وَاخْتَرْ لِي وَلَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى اخْتِيَارِي
Allāhumma khir lī wakhtār lī wa lā takilnī ilā ikhtiyārī
“O Allah, bring good to me, choose for me, and do not leave me to my own choice.”
اے اللہ، میرے لیے خیر لا، میرے لیے چن لے اور مجھے میرے اپنے انتخاب پر نہ چھوڑ۔
