Why Make Dua for Your Father in the Rawdah?
Your father worked when you slept. He carried burdens you never saw. He sacrificed silently — without complaint, without credit. Now you stand in the Rawdah, the most blessed piece of ground on earth, in a garden from the gardens of Paradise. You have a chance that most people never get. Use it for him.
Islam places the father in a position of profound honour. The Prophet ﷺ said the father is the middle gate of Jannah — and the Quran commands us to lower the wing of humility to our parents and to make dua for them with sincerity. There is no more sincere place to do this than the Rawdah of Masjid Nabawi.
“The father is the middle gate of the gates of Jannah. It is up to you whether you preserve it or lose it.”

Whether your father is alive or you are making dua while thinking of his grey hair and tired hands — raise your hands in the Rawdah and say his name. The Prophet ﷺ is near. The angels are listening. Allah never turns away a sincere dua made in this garden.
GATE OF JANNAH

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِأَبِي وَارْحَمْهُ وَعَافِهِ وَاعْفُ عَنْهُ
Allāhumma ghfir li-abī warḥamhu wa ʿāfihi waʿfu ʿanh
“O Allah, forgive my father, have mercy on him, grant him wellbeing and pardon him.”
اے اللہ، میرے والد کو بخش دے، ان پر رحم فرما، انہیں عافیت دے اور معاف فرما۔

رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا

اے میرے رب، ان دونوں پر رحم فرما جیسا انہوں نے مجھے بچپن میں پالا۔

“My Lord, forgive me, my parents and all believers on the Day of Reckoning.”

اللَّهُمَّ أَطِلْ عُمْرَ أَبِي فِي طَاعَتِكَ وَعَافِيَتِكَ

اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِ أَبِي وَثَبِّتْهُ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ حَتَّى يَلْقَاكَ

“O Allah, guide my father and keep him firm upon Islam until he meets You.”

“O Allah, reform my father’s deen, beautify his character and make him among the righteous.”

“O Allah, grant my father happiness in this world and the next and protect him from the Fire.”
اے اللہ، میرے والد کو دنیا اور آخرت کی خوشی عطا فرما اور انہیں آگ کے عذاب سے بچا۔

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ أَبِي مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ وَاحْشُرْنَا مَعَهُ فِي جَنَّةِ الْفِرْدَوْسِ الْأَعْلَى
Allāhumma jʿal abī min ahli l-jannati waḥshurnā maʿahu fī jannati l-firdawsi l-aʿlā
“O Allah, make my father among the people of Jannah and gather us with him in the highest Firdaus.”
اے اللہ، میرے والد کو جنت والوں میں سے بنا اور ہم سب کو جنت الفردوس الاعلیٰ میں ان کے ساتھ جمع فرما دے۔
